Job Vision:
The DC Systems Applications Developer will provide support and development of QBP’s Distribution Center applications using development process based on Agile Development practices. The DC Systems Applications Developer will be an integral part of a team for a new ERP system in the next two years.
Organizational Structure:
The Applications Developer reports to the Manager of DC Systems. This person will work with the DC Systems team and the broader IT department to contribute to the mission of Quality Bicycle Products.
Performance Objectives:
1. Designing, coding, debugging, unit testing, documenting large, complex software applications for multi-site Distribution Center operations.
2. Lead technical implementation, guide developers and consultants in implementation and development.
3. Coordinate with Quality Assurance and testers to test applications.
4. Ensure development deadlines and customer expectations are met.
5. Must be familiar with Configuration Management activities to deploy application and manage development.
6. Strong expertise with development tools and environments including HighJump Architect, MSSQL Studio, T-SQL Stored Procedures, and web tools as well as source and version control products is required to fix production issues and develop new features for the Distribution Centers.
7. Good communication skills interacting with clients and business owners to perform problem solving which demonstrates knowledge of the technical systems and solutions driving the business.
8. Second Level support of and administration of QBP’s Distribution Center operations across three US Locations. Technologies used include:
a. Microsoft SQL Server
b. HighJump Supply Chain Execution
c. ConnectShip Shipping solution
d. Microsoft IIS with .ASP based features
e. In house applications based on JAVA
f. Trend SXe and future implementations of SAP or Oracle ERP.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years HighJump Systems development experience
• 2+ years MSSQL development experience
• 4+ Years experience with Distribution Center software
• Experience working with Agile Development Processes
• Excellent communication skills
