Job description:

Bike and Roll Washington DC is part of a nation-wide bike rental and tour organization. We are currently searching for someone to manage our three retail shops in DC and Alexandria VA. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations at each shop including:
● Supervising location and tour managers to ensure operational standards are being met.
● Ensuring appropriate staffing levels are scheduled
● Training managers and staff in proper procedures
● Monitoring sales for trends or improvements
● Responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues
● Ensuring staff and management team are knowledgeable of upcoming events, new initiatives, and any trends or issues
● Updating operational procedures and documentation
● Coordinating equipment needs or repairs with fleet manager and mechanics

Position requires 3 years proven ability to manage retail or hospitality storefront operations.

Preferred experience includes:
● Experience in recreation management or food services industries
● Managing in a fast-paced environment requiring ability to multi-task
● Managing staff at multiple locations
● Proficiency in standard computer software with the ability to use online management tools or scheduling software

Physical requirements for position are:
● Ability to ride a bicycle 10 miles
● Ability to lift a 30 lb bicycle over your head
