Job Vision
The HRIS Specialist will work closely with the other members of HR to support the work of the department. This is primarily a reporting and administrative position with the opportunity to grow into a Senior level HRIS position with a strong Leadership component. The person must have a strong understanding and comfort with computers/technology, data analysis, and Excel or Access. The HRIS Specialist must have exemplary customer service skills and be able to work with highly confidential information.
Organizational Structure
The HRIS Specialist will report to the Senior HRIS Specialist and HR Manager. The department is headed by the HR Director and ultimately reports to the VP of Q-Distribution. HR’s customers include every employee and manager at QBP as well as our job applicants and benefit vendors.
Performance Objectives
• Within the first 2 months, provide clerical support such as data entry, and reporting in an accurate, timely and organized manner. Examples include:
o New employee system set-up
o Data entry of pay, department and supervisor changes
o Conducting driving background checks
o Setting up and administering confidential surveys in Survey Monkey
o Generating Custom Reports
• Within the first 4 months, provide system administration and expert reporting support for all HR systems. Examples include:
o Technical expert with all HR systems
o Submitting service requests to vendors
o Creating automated reports with custom calculations
o Train and create documentation for users of HR software
o Analyze HR data, survey results, and metrics
• Within the first 4 months, respond to employee questions and inquiries about employee benefit programs and human resources policies when needed
• Within the first 6 months, provide suggestions for HR system and process improvements
• Participate in HR department meeting and trainings
• After initial training period, this role will be responsible for providing expert HRIS input and support across all areas of the HR Dept

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Computer Science or related field strongly preferred
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
• Basic knowledge of web design and programming
• Ability to work well without direct supervision
• Ability to learn a lot of new information and processes quickly while maintaining accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to maintain organization and structure in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Confidence and ability to communicate effectively with people throughout QBP about both general and very personal matters
