Job description:

Founded in 1997 in Washington DC, we now have five stores in the Greater DC Metro Area and our one and only goal is to provide our customers with one of the most positive retail experiences ever while offering them a selection of the best bicycle brands and bicycle accessories. We stock, sell and service all levels and types of bicycles and a variety of brands, including Trek, Felt, Gary Fisher, Surly and Raleigh.

We are looking for motivated individuals who want to join this great company as Bicycle Assemblers and enjoy generous discounts and great work atmosphere while working to give our customers total satisfaction. We provide a laid back, climate-controlled environment for our employees and are looking for skilled bike assemblers with experience but will provide bicycle-specific training by our staff of master mechanics. We provide you with work space and necessary tools. We are currently hiring for a part-time bicycle assembler position in our Stafford VA location. Compensation for our part-time assembler positions is commissioned based, getting paid for each bike assembled.

Duties Include:

- Assemble new road, mountain, hybrid, kid’s bikes and their accessories; all bicycles arrive in boxes and need to be assembled, tuned, and in perfect working order to be placed on the sales floor
- Learn, understand and adhere to company policy, programs and standards
Ideal Candidate:
• Has at least six to 12 months of mechanical experience
• Is neat and organized, and is respectful of a shared work space
• Has some experience repairing and tuning bicycles
• Is capable of safely lifting and carrying 40lbs on a regular basis
• Is intrinsically motivated, able to work both independently and as a member of a team, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
